Baddest Bagger Partners with Las Vegas BikeFest! (Click Here)
Maverick Publishing LLC, publishers of American Bagger and Urban Bagger magazines, is pleased to announce the addition of Las Vegas BikeFest to their lineup of Baddest Bagger competitions in 2012. Now with three shows for 2012, the Baddest Bagger competition is the premier bike show dedicated to the ever-expanding Bagger market in the American V-Twin segment. The competition produces numerous cover bikes that grace the pages of American Bagger and Urban Bagger magazines.
“I have supported Las Vegas BikeFest since the beginning and could not be more pleased to have them host our Baddest Bagger competition. By partnering with Las Vegas BikeFest, we will have a competitive platform for the top Baggers in Southern California, Utah, Arizona, and of course Las Vegas. Since our inaugural event in 2010, Las Vegas BikeFest has been a priority for the expansion of our Baddest Bagger brand,” said Dave Withrow, publisher of American Bagger and Urban Bagger.
The 2012 show circuit started off with a bang at Arizona Bike Week, producing over 60 world-class show Baggers. The Baddest Bagger competition now moves to the Sturgis Rally, where it all started in 2010, then on to Las Vegas BikeFest to wrap up the year. While 2012 is proving to be a great year for the Baddest Bagger brand with the addition of Las Vegas BikeFest, 2013 will be even bigger. We’ll start the year in Daytona, and we’re currently looking to add one more show to end the year with. The year 2013 will feature five Bagger-specific shows. Our 2012 sponsors include: Paul Yaffe’s Bagger Nation, RC Components, Milwaukee Bagger, Legend Air Suspensions and Hawg Wired.

How It Began (Click here for full story!)
Story by Dave Withrow
With 90 days to put together a bike show, the first annual Full Throttle Saloon/Bagger Nation/American Bagger - Badest Bagger in Sturgis Bike Show was facing an uphill challenge. Paul Yaffe confessed “If we get 30 Baggers the first year, we can build the show from there”. The entrants exceeded Paul’s humble goal, 80 contestants entered the inaugural event. The competition was fierce and seven Baggers could have easily won the contest. Awarded Baddest Bagger in Sturgis by the Entrants was Bob Closson Jr. for his amazing Bagger from Ballistic Cycles. DD Custom Cycle was awarded the American Bagger Editor’s Choice Award. Steve Kofsky won Best Ground-Up Custom on a NYC Bagger. Lee Schermerhorn won the Michael & Angie pick for Best in Show with their amazing Road King. John Shope won the Modified Class. Pete LeClair took home the People’s Choice Award and Gracy DeHerrera took home the Suzy Q Award for Baddest Bagger. With 51 weeks to prepare, next year’s show is prepped to be the biggest Bagger show in the country.
